Perfect Each Chord Shape
Focus on one chord at a time. Ensure each finger is properly placed and every note rings clearly when strummed. Check by playing each string individually, adjusting finger position as needed to eliminate buzzing or muted strings.
Practice Chord Transitions
Once comfortable with individual chords, practice switching between them. Start with two chords (like G and C) and switch back and forth slowly, gradually increasing speed as your muscle memory develops.
Use a Metronome
Set a slow tempo (40-60 BPM) and change chords on each beat, ensuring clean transitions. Practice the “one-minute changes” exercise: count how many times you can switch between two chords in 60 seconds.
